Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actress. She made her film debut as the Bond actress in A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she starred as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody played Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donavan played the role part of A Prayer for the Dying in 1987, Charlotte appeared in Taffin (in 1998) and Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Doody began modelling after being offered by an experienced photographer. The result was an enviable professional career as a model for commercials. Doody did not shy away from glamour or naked work, a rule that she extended to her acting profession. After catching the eye of the casting director for a James Bond movie, she took a part in A View to a Kill as Jenny Flex. Doody was listed in John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3 as being one of the 12 top actors in 1986. 38. Doody was just 18 years old when she made her first appearance in the Bond part. Today Doody is considered to be the youngest Bond girl. In 1987, Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying in which she played IRA Member Siobhan Donovan. Doody played Archibald Craven's wife Lilias as he portrayed his fantasy in the television adaptation The Secret Garden. The Storyteller episode from 1988 included her in the leading role of Sapsorrow, alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She worked with Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathizer as well as a archaeologist from the forensic field in the 1989 movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. In the film, she also appeared alongside Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody has acted alongside three actors who have portrayed James Bond. Doody co-starred in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British mini-series Selling Hitler, which was in the spirit of a publication scam called The Hitler Diaries. The actress later relocated to Hollywood. It was her choice to succeed Cybill Shepard in the role of L'Oreal spokeswoman and continued to play opposite Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his wife and agent on the film Major League II. Doody returned to acting in 2003 with a minor role on her role in the British comedy film The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at an awards show. Doody was a co-star, along together with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. Doody filming a character in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture. Then, she appeared on RTE's Medical thriller The Clinic. She was also set to be the star of an adaptation in 2011 of the horror classic The Asphyx. However, the project was ultimately canceled. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. In 2014 she starred in We Still Kill the Old Way. She received the Almeria Tierra de Cinema award on 21 November 2018.
